Chrystal Sanborn
I’m a DONA-certified birth doula dedicated to providing compassionate and personalized care to families throughout their pregnancy and labor journeys. I am based in Littleton where my fiancé and I share a home with our beloved Springer Spaniel, Fisher. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Regis University, and in my past work history I served as a nurse aid. I began working as a Doula in 2022, certified in 2023, and served more than 20 families before joining the 9th Avenue team.
As a full-time doula, I am passionate about supporting families in every stage of their birth journey. My experience includes assisting with IVF pregnancies, surrogacy births, VBACs, and first time parents. My goal for my clients is a Peaceful, Informed, and Joyful labor.
When I’m not attending births, I love spending time outdoors in the mountains, identifying plants, and hiking or camping. You might also find me with a cup of tea and a good book or exploring creative projects like sewing and journaling.

“Words cannot express how thankful I am for Chrystal, I truly believe that she answer to a prayer. Her presence was so peaceful to me and she knew exactly what I needed. In fact, I feel like I got spoiled by having her around. Things ended up not as planned, but I look at those two evenings of labor as something really special that I was able to experience, and a lot of that was because of her support. Thank you for everything!”
“I am so happy I chose to have a doula for my second pregnancy and birth. I thought I would be prepared or have the knowledge to navigate the medical system since both my husband and I are healthcare professionals, but I was very wrong! Chrystal was so helpful throughout the entire pregnancy and provided so much more knowledge that I didn’t have the first time around. She was accessible whenever I had a question and would provide resources, research, or articles with any information I was looking for. I felt so much more prepared going into my second labor and felt stronger in my convictions and advocating for myself with the doctors. I was able to have a successful vaginal delivery and I couldn’t be happier! Chrystal was very instrumental in the success of my VBAC!”
“Chrystal is an incredible doula! I have known her for about a decade now and when she told me she was a doula, nothing sounded more fitting for the caring and thoughtful human that she is. In the months leading up to birth, I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes and my anxiety was at an all time high. I would text Chrystal all my thoughts and worries. She always sent me articles to support any concerns I had. Come day of labor, having Chrystal by my side is a memory I’ll cherish forever. She made me laugh when I was pushing and her overall presence gave me a sense of calm I needed in the delivery room. I couldn’t recommend her higher if I tried.”
“Chrystal was an amazing resource not just during my birth, but also throughout my pregnancy. She was an excellent communicator and was always willing to provide resources when I had questions. She was not dogmatic or push any ideas on me, but rather took the time to get to know me and my husband, our priorities and what type of support we needed.”
