I am thrilled that you are looking at this and possibly considering me as your doula! I love being a doula because it is such a profound moment in people’s lives, and I love helping them experience and remember it in the most positive and empowering way possible. 

My goal as a doula is to prioritize an individual's emotional satisfaction with their birth. Feeling in control, informed, included in decision making, nurtured, and respected are some of my top priorities. I am deeply committed to care in these intimate spaces and focus on human-centered approaches to the birth experience. It is an immense privilege to be accepted into this role, and I plan to listen more than speak. I listen to parents’ hopes and preferences to help them navigate the birth journey; I will help people listen to their bodies and lead them through comfort measures, breathing techniques, and relaxation strategies; I will listen to hospital staff and help parents navigate unknown terrain.   

As a full-time birth and postpartum doula, I am excited and passionate about supporting families in every stage of their early parenting journey. My experience includes assisting with IVF pregnancies, belly births, unmedicated labors, and first time parents. My goal for my clients is an enjoyable, informed, and empowered pregnancy, birth, and transition into parenting.

Aside from being a doula, I am a loving and energetic friend, a supportive and encouraging partner, and an adventurer. I spend most of my time reading books and hiking. I recharge my energy through conversations with friends, alone time in nature, or a good book.
